https://events.getlocalhop.com/reading-rainbow/event/fyDnVhpbeP/For kids in grades 4-8: The Ferndale Library and Affirmations co-host a social club/book club for kids, tweens/teens, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.
This is a social hour that includes a book discussion. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.
Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.
Drop-ins are always welcome!
You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.
On Tues., October 27: We'll hang out, have snacks, and discuss Skating On Mars by Caroline Huntoon: A heartwarming middle-grade debut about a young nonbinary figure skater discovering who they are on and off the ice.
FADL is committed to accessibility—please reach out at least 1 week in advance for accommodation requests at [email protected] or 248-546-2504
