STARTING OVER 50 - A ONE-DAY COURSE FOR WOMEN 50+
Your life is not over. You are starting again.
Presented by Dr Louise Swart — Teacher, Guide and Educator
There comes a time in many women's lives when the life they once knew changes.
A husband or partner may have passed away. A marriage may have ended. A long-term relationship may be over. Children may have left home. Retirement may have changed your identity. You may have experienced betrayal, disappointment or loss.
Or perhaps nothing dramatic happened at all — you simply reached a point where you realised:
“I want something different from the next chapter of my life.”
Starting Over 50 is a supportive, inspiring and practical one-day course created specifically for women aged 50 and older who are ready to look honestly at where they have been, understand where they are now, and begin creating where they are going next.
This course is presented by Dr Louise Swart, Teacher, Guide and Educator, who will guide participants through a meaningful day of reflection, learning, personal growth and practical tools for creating a new chapter.
This is not about pretending the past did not happen.
It is about recognising that your past does not have to determine your future.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Starting Over 50 is for women who are ready for a new chapter after:
- The death of a husband or partner
- Divorce
- Separation
- The end of a marriage
- The end of a long-term relationship
- Betrayal or infidelity
- Becoming an empty nester
- Retirement
- A major life change
- Loss of identity or purpose
- Loneliness or isolation
- A period of feeling lost or uncertain
- Or simply the realisation that it is time to start again
You do not have to have everything figured out before attending.
You only need to be willing to begin.
MEET YOUR TEACHER, GUIDE AND EDUCATOR
Dr Louise Swart
Dr Louise Swart brings her experience as a teacher, guide and educator to this course, creating a supportive environment where women can reflect on their experiences, explore new perspectives and consider what they want from the next chapter of their lives.
Her approach is practical, personal and empowering.
The purpose is not to tell you how to live your life.
It is to help you ask better questions, discover your own answers and make conscious choices about what comes next.
WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?
This is a day of reflection, understanding, learning and possibility.
During the course, Dr Louise Swart will guide you through practical and meaningful conversations and exercises designed to help you explore:
YOUR PAST
Understand what you have experienced and what you are still carrying.
GRIEF AND LOSS
Recognise the losses that have shaped you and begin moving forward without denying what mattered.
LETTING GO
Identify what you no longer need to carry into the next chapter.
FORGIVENESS
Explore forgiveness, including forgiving yourself.
YOUR IDENTITY
Rediscover who you are beyond the roles and relationships that may have defined you.
YOUR SELF-WORTH
Reconnect with your value, confidence and sense of personal worth.
RELATIONSHIPS
Look at friendships, family, dating, relationships and the people you want around you in the future.
PURPOSE
Ask what you want your life to mean now.
PERSONAL GROWTH
Develop new perspectives and consider new possibilities for the years ahead.
FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE
Begin thinking differently about independence, security and your future.
CREATING A NEW LIFE
Move from simply surviving change to consciously creating your next chapter.
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
The course encourages you to ask:
What do I want now?
Who am I now?
What am I ready to leave behind?
What am I still carrying?
What have I learned?
What do I want my future to look like?
Who do I want around me?
Where do I want to live?
What do I want to do?
What do I want to experience?
What do I want to feel?
What do I want to stop doing?
What do I want to start doing?
And perhaps the most important question:
“If I could create the next chapter of my life exactly the way I wanted it, what would I choose?”

THE 21-DAY STARTING-OVER JOURNEY
The work does not end when the one-day course ends.
You will also receive guidance to help you take what you have learned into your everyday life.
The 21-Day Starting Over Programme is designed to help you begin developing new habits, new perspectives and new ways of approaching your life.
Because starting over is not one decision.
It is a series of decisions you make every day.
One day.
One choice.
One new perspective.
One step at a time.
WHY ATTEND?
Because turning 50 is not the end of your story.
It can be the beginning of a completely different one.
You may have spent years being a wife, mother, partner, employee, businesswoman, caregiver or supporter of everyone else.
Now you may be asking:
“What about me?”
Starting Over 50 creates a space where you can ask that question honestly.
This is your opportunity to pause, reflect, heal, learn, reconnect with yourself and begin considering what is possible next.
A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Starting over can feel frightening.
You may worry about being alone.
You may wonder whether you are too old to start again.
You may be concerned about finances, relationships, rejection or what other people will think.
You may simply not know what you want anymore.
You are not expected to have all the answers.
You are invited to explore the questions.
Participation in personal discussions and exercises is voluntary. You remain responsible for deciding what you wish to share.
The course is educational, personal-development and supportive in nature and is not intended to replace medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment.
