THE GRUNGE THEATRE Where grunge lives on—unplugged.
The Grunge Theatre is a South African collective of musicians dedicated to reviving the raw spirit and emotion of ’90s alternative rock.
Inspired by the legendary MTV Unplugged performances, we strip away the distortion and let the songs speak for themselves—bringing you intimate, acoustic interpretations of the music that defined a generation.
Our performances celebrate the timeless sound of:
• Nirvana
• Pearl Jam
• Alice In Chains
• Soundgarden
• Stone Temple Pilots
• Foo Fighters
• Queens of the Stone Age
• …and other iconic alternative rock artists.
Expect haunting harmonies, honest musicianship, candlelit atmospheres, and the stories behind the songs that changed rock forever.
Raw. Acoustic. Authentic.
One stage. One night. The soundtrack of a generation.
