September 19th 2026We have the pleasure of bringing out one of our friends from Santa Cruz: R. Downstairs (@rikvinegar)!
He will be bringing out a bag of records consisting of Acid house Dutch electro and some detroity shiz. This will be pair nicely with his switch ups of post punk, dub and no wave. Surprises will be had. Don’t expect anything, just come to dance. He’s been playing records for 10 years now, accruing a ton of knowledge on how to dig as well as how to command a floor.
Through his releases and live sets you can really hear his love for the history of music, apparently he won’t stop talking about it 😂. He’s done a few vinyl releases one with Butter Records and a series of 10” dubplates. (Go check those out if you haven’t yet)
He also throws one of the sickest parties in @tideswing.sc! Vinyl focused sets a lot landing in cool places like on the pier in Santa Cruz. Besides that he started send>>return in Long Beach, as well as throwing off grid renegades 🤫. He’s also played @sunsetsoundsystem’s campout and recently @groovewellvacation!
He’s joined by one of our favorite DJs in the SLC scene: @diskotk! One of our biggest inspos and such a great selector and producer! Very rare and we are very lucky to see him open things up!
