Join us for the Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting for Raices Sagradas, our community farm in the heart of the South Valley. Once in full production, Raices Sagradas will increase its harvest production of local organic produce year-round and serve as a hands-on learning and workforce training space. As a community-based response to climate challenges affecting food production, this urban demonstration farm will fully operate two green houses, integrate vertical growing, soil remediation, seed preservation, support pollinator-friendly habitats and integrate innovative practices such as use of stormwater harvesting and reclamation, passive energy systems and solar. The farm combines innovative, sustainable design with traditional and ancestral agricultural knowledge. Raices Sagradas is a living example of what community based agriculture can look like in a changing climate. Come celebrate with us!
