Born with cerebral palsy, Rap J has spent most of life in a wheelchair, but is determined to show the world that this condition does not define his artistry.His music, which blends introspective storytelling with high-energy "braggadocious" lyrics, draws influence from icons like Michael Jackson, Biggie Smalls, and Tyler, The Creator. Rap J is a rising star in the Midwest scene, having graced prestigious stages including Summerfest 2025 on the WAMI Music6s Stage, the 2023 WAMI Awards, the 2024 Bronzeville Fest and legendary venues like Shank Hall, Cactus Club, and Anodyne Coffee.
His unique journey and powerful sound have been featured prominently by major media outlets, including CBS Chicago, CBS 58, FOX6 News Milwaukee, WISN 12, TMJ4, Shepherd Express, and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
