At this in-person workshop, learn how to design and install a rain garden!About this Event
Curious about rain gardens and don't know where to start?This workshop will cover the basics of rain gardens, including:
- What rain gardens are and why they are important
- How to locate and design the space for a rain garden
- How to select the plants and materials for installation
- What the best practices are for ongoing maintenance
Attendees will learn about the role rain gardens play in reducing and filtering stormwater runoff, mitigating flooding, and creating habitat for our native pollinators and wildlife, all while beautifying our neighborhoods and protecting our waterways.
Please note that this workshop is limited to Baltimore city residents only. Please also note that the terrain at Oliver Community Farm is unlevel, please be mindful of this upon arrival! :)
