Arte in Movimento presents Radium. History. Passion. Radiance. All on stage.From 1917 to 1938, young women in New Jersey and Illinois painted luminous watch dials with radium. Through movement and imagery, RADIUM traces a hauntingly beautiful journey through light, decay, courage, and resilience—honoring the women whose suffering and fight for justice helped transform workplace safety.
Founded in 2023 by Artistic Director Eve McKennah Haines, ArteInMovimento creates innovative contemporary dance works while expanding access to professional dance throughout the Shenandoah Valley and beyond.
