Turn a simple sweatshirt into a one‑of‑a‑kind quilted jacket in this 3-hour skill‑building class. You’ll learn the quilt‑as‑you‑go technique, creating a custom, cozy jacket without needing a zipper. This class is perfect for intermediate sewists ready to take it to the next level, adding new techniques and creativity to your sewing experience.Before class, you will need a sweatshirt 1-2 sizes than what you normally wear, it will need to be deconstructed, it's good to have your 2–3 yards of fabric chosen. You can precut your 2.5" strips ahead of time (though I wouldn't cut too many, we can always cut more) to be ready to start the project. Fabrics can be mixed and matched—during class we can cut your 2.5" strips, if not already done.
It's important to be prepared and stay focused on this project in order to finish in the time allowed. If participants are not able to finish their project during this time, you may schedule additional guidance during a 1:1 session with La Dawnya.
