We’re gathering for our second Quiet Reading Club in August at Gemini in Jersey City on Thursday, September 17th from 6:30–8:30 PM for an evening of books, community and great food.
We're excited to gather at , a new Latin American neighborhood eatery and coffee bar inspired by seasonal ingredients, warm hospitality, and the art of slowing down. Their menu features specialty coffee and tea, refreshing beverages, pastries, sandwiches, burgers, small bites, and more, making it the perfect place to spend a cozy evening with a good book.
Quiet Reading Club is simple: bring whatever you’re currently reading (a novel, memoir, poetry collection, or audiobook with headphones...anything goes!), order a bite or drink, and enjoy a cozy evening of reading together in community. There’s no assigned reading and no pressure, just you and your book (and maybe some new bookish friends).

🍕 Order food, drinks, or dessert from Gemini’s menu
🕯️ Settle in, unplug, and read quietly in community
🗨️ Optional mingling before and after reading
Evening Schedule:
🕡 6:30 – 7:00 PM – Arrive, get settled, order pizza/drinks/dessert, and find your reading spot
📖 7:00 – 8:00 PM – Quiet Reading Hour
📸 8:00 – 8:30 PM – Group photo + optional socializing before heading out
