About this Event
You do not enter the tea ceremony directly.
First, the noise of the outside world is allowed to fall away.
Quiet Beauty is a carefully paced, full-day experience bringing together gentle sound, guided breathing, Reiki, haiku and the Japanese art of tea. Rather than moving quickly between separate activities, each part of the day prepares the way for the next.
We begin with sound and breath. Gentle sound and guided breathing help the body settle and the mind grow quiet. Reiki is offered during this opening, easing the transition from everyday life into the slower rhythm of the day ahead.
Then, space to reflect and create. After time for quiet reflection, Justyna will guide a simple haiku and haiga practice. No writing or artistic experience is needed - only your attention.
At the heart of the day, the tea ceremony. Led by Akie, with support from Taka, this is where everything gathers. Each movement is deliberate; every object is handled with care. As the ceremony unfolds, it becomes like a living painting created in front of your eyes - an invitation to witness the beauty of ritual, simplicity and imperfection.
In the afternoon, an optional closing. Jyorei will be offered later in the day by Akie, Taka and Justyna, for those who wish to stay a little longer in the stillness.
This is not a collection of separate wellness activities. It is one continuous passage from noise into attention, created so the tea ceremony can be fully received.
