About this Event

WORKSHOP DATES: MARCH 14, 21, 28, APRIL 4 & 11 (2-4pm)

This workshop series is designed for those who want more step-by-step instruction (with plenty of encouragement to improvise) learning multiple patchwork blocks. Each week we will make a new square block together, you will take home your patchwork and instructions for how to make it again. The complexity of the patterns will increase over the four weeks, and in the fifth week you will arrange your squares into a finished quilt top.

We meet Saturday afternoons every week for five sessions. Any level of experience (including none) is welcome. Shared sewing machines are provided, along with a stash of fabrics with endless options to choose from. If you are unable to make it to any of the sessions, you will receive the instructions by email. Some participants will make four squares, some will make many more depending on the speed they work and if they spend time outside of class. So everyone will end up with a quilt top that is uniquely theirs.

March 14 - Rail Fence Block

March 21 - Flying Geese Block

March 28 - Sawtooth Star Block

April 4 - Cozy House Block

April 11 - Assembly, sashing, borders

The studio is located in a second-story walk-up, with no elevator. We have a cozy tea and coffee setup and you're welcome to bring your own snacks. Also you can take off your shoes and bring slippers if you are so inclined! Masking is required and masks are provided if you forget yours. Please arrive on time or a little early so we can make the most of the afternoon together.
