The Portland Baha'i Archives Nucleus is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Queen Marie coming to Portland! Yes it’s true, she really came here on November 3, 1926! Come to the Portland Baha’i Center for devotions on Sunday, November 1, and stay for an interactive celebration at 1:00, where you can share your own thoughts and knowledge about Queen Marie, and listen to stories and details of her visit. A book about the Queen:

(Toronto Daily Star, 4 May 1926) The author of this article was Queen Marie of Romania, the woman of whom she wrote was Martha Root and the book contained the writings of Bahá'u'lláh and 'Abdu'l-Bahá.
