📅 Date: Thursday, 24 September 2026

🕘 Time: 08:30 – 12:00 (EDT)

📍 Venue: Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, 5 E 68th St, New York, NY 10065

About the Event

The world is at an inflection point. Wars and conflicts are at record highs, trust in the UN and multilateral system is eroding, the SDGs are falling behind, and new pressures around climate, energy, technology, and AI are straining an already fragile international system.

Yet this moment of transition is also an opportunity. The North–South Town Hall brings together leaders, policymakers, and communities to move the conversation forward, from diagnosing the crisis to shaping what comes next. How can progressive powers, from small to middle to big, work across traditional divides and become a force for progress in building a next world order that is more just, equitable, and effective?

Agenda

  • Welcoming Remarks by Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Founder and Chairman, Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI)
  • Opening Speech by H.E. Winanto Adi, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in New York
  • Session 1 — Middle Powers as Force for Progress

How can middle powers build issue-based coalitions, convene partners of choice, and make North–South partnerships more reciprocal and effective?

  • Session 2 — Powering Progress: How Middle Powers Can Shape the Next Energy Order

As the global energy order is reshaped by shocks, supply chain shifts, and the clean energy transition, how can middle powers turn ambition into bankable, resilient energy systems?
