The Toastmaster chair for the Weston-Mount Dennis Toastmasters Club has set the theme for our March 12 meeting: "Beyond the comfort zone"
Right now, we have no speeches scheduled, so we just may have a chance to focus on Table Topics, which is impromptu speaking. Improving your impromptu skills is important. I always say that you usually don't have 4 weeks to reply to someone. You get asked a question and you're expected to respond right away. Getting the chance to practice can make you more comfortable with this.

Toastmasters isn't a workshop or seminar. It's a hands-on environment. Each Toastmaster has a role and each role studies some aspect of public speaking. We also have speakers. This Thursday, we'll have two speeches. Toastmasters has an educational side that teaches public speaking. What we learn, we show and demonstrate in the meetings. It's free to attend the meeting as a guest. You can attend as a guest as often as you'd like. We try to include you in many aspects of the meeting and you learn a lot about public speaking by being around us.
