The streetscaping plan – the third and final phase of improving Main Street all the way from 1st to 32nd Streets – includes elements like new street surfaces, sidewalks with decorative concrete, lighting improvements, benches and trees, and its own unique Midtown motif. The portion of the project north of the railroad tracks at 10th Street will match the current Downtown motif, and the motif south of the railroad tracks to 15th Street will have the Midtown style.
The $5 million project is set to begin this fall and will take approximately nine months to complete. The work is being funded through Community Project Funding (CPF) grant funds administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
