About this Event
This year’s HU Homecoming PsychSocial is in honor of my good friend, Dr. Tyne Ori — a proud Bison, clinical psychologist, frequent PsychSocial attendee, and one of the people who was with me while I was dreaming up PsychSocial during the pandemic.
Tyne loved Howard 💙 She loved Homecoming ❤️ And she loved to play.
PsychSocial has always been about making room for mental health professionals to put the work down and choose joy, connection, and play. So this Homecoming, we’re playing for her.
📅 Thursday, October 15
⏰ 5–8p
📍 Salazar Rooftop
1819 14th St NW
No networking agenda. No formal program. Just off-the-clock community.
Come play with us.
It’s PsychSocial Time. ✨
A Note From akia grace
Heyy there! I’m akia grace and I host PsychSocial, a social gathering for psychologists, therapists, social workers, counselors, and other mental health folx who value PLAY and OFF-THE-CLOCK CONNECTION.
With everything we carry in this work, we deserve spaces that let us chill, vibe, connect, and feel human together.
Too many of us are climbing our way back from burnout and compassion fatigue. PsychSocial is about creating space for joy, ease, and community care.
This is not another networking event. 📣Don’t bring work here!
Just pull up ready to meet new people, catch some rooftop vibes, sip and eat something good.
Can't wait to see you there✨️
