About this Event
Blind Intelligence is hosting its 5th Annual Preventing While Experiencing event! ✨
Preventing While Experiencing is an interactive way to spread awareness and educate the community about Pseudotumor Cerebri, also known as Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH).
This year, we’re putting the “steps” in awareness! Participants will walk one lap around Kiest Park, approximately 2 miles—and if you’re up for the challenge, join us for a second lap!
Obesity is one of the recognized risk factors associated with Pseudotumor Cerebri/IIH, and weight loss may be recommended as part of treatment for some individuals. Through this event, Blind Intelligence is encouraging our community to get active while learning about a condition that can have life-changing effects.
Blind Intelligence is taking steps toward global awareness through an “each one, teach one” approach. Every person who learns about Pseudotumor Cerebri has the opportunity to share that knowledge with someone else.
About Blind Intelligence & Professor Blindie
Professor Blindie is the owner and founder of Blind Intelligence, a community outreach and inspirational merchandise brand with a mission to educate, inspire, and spread awareness to all Scholars. Blind Intelligence defines a Scholar as anyone who possesses profound knowledge through their own life experiences.
Professor Blindie has transformed her personal experiences into purpose by creating inspirational merchandise, developing workshops, hosting community events, and becoming an inspirational speaker. Through Blind Intelligence, she has intentionally chosen to become the representation she once desired to see.
Pseudotumor Cerebri/IIH is considered a rare condition, which makes community education and awareness especially important. Preventing While Experiencing is about turning personal experience into education, movement, advocacy, and action.
Thank you so much for your interest in participating in our 5th Annual Preventing While Experiencing walk. We hope to see you there in person as we take steps toward awareness—together! ✨
