Building the confidence to say no, speak up, and stay connected to yourself
About this Event

The holidays can bring us closer to the people we love, but they can also bring up old patterns, complicated relationships, unwanted expectations, and moments when we find ourselves saying yes when we really want to say no.

What happens when someone pushes past a boundary? When a family member makes a comment that doesn't sit right? When someone expects more of your time, energy or attention than you're willing to give? And what happens inside you when the other person doesn't like your answer?

In this experiential workshop, we'll take these everyday situations out of our heads and into our bodies. Through movement, role-play and guided exercises, we'll explore what it feels like to take up space, communicate a clear no, speak up when something feels wrong and stay grounded when someone challenges or ignores your boundaries.

Imagine someone continuing to approach when you'd rather have space. Can you communicate that through your body? Can you find your voice? What happens when they don't listen? Can you hold your ground without shutting down, escalating or abandoning yourself?

We'll also explore the discomfort that can follow: guilt, fear of disappointing someone, tension and the urge to backtrack or make things okay again.

This isn't about becoming confrontational or learning to control other people's reactions. It's about recognizing the power you already have. The power to choose, to speak, to take up space, to protect your energy and to decide what you're available for.

As the holiday season approaches, come practice having your own back, even when it's uncomfortable.

Please note that no refunds or exchanges are available within 48 hours of the start of the event.

About the Organizers:

This event is hosted by Colours in Contact, founded by Pablo and Emma in 2023 with a shared vision: to create a warm, culturally diverse, beginner-friendly movement space in Toronto where people can move, explore, connect and express themselves freely.

Together, they cultivate classes, experiences, and jams that are inclusive and rooted in the belief that everyone has a creative, expressive body worth discovering.

Facilitating this event is Pablo, who brings years of experience coaching people around boundaries, relationship dynamics and interpersonal challenges. He has an extensive understanding of narcissistic behaviours, manipulation tactics, and the patterns that can make it difficult to stand up for ourselves. With a trauma-informed approach, he combines deep knowledge with compassion and practical tools, helping people learn to set and maintain boundaries without losing connection to themselves or their values.
