About this Event
Pregnancy, labour and recovery place unique demands on the body, and understanding what's happening can help you feel more prepared and confident for the journey ahead.
Join Clarissa, Lead Midwife and Co-Founder of The Motherhood Practice, and Alexa, Women's Health Development Lead at Six Physio, for an informative and interactive evening exploring birth preparation from both a midwife's and physiotherapist's perspective.
Together, they'll guide you through the antenatal, labour and postnatal journey, covering:
- How your body changes during pregnancy
- Pelvic mechanics and managing load through each trimester
- What happens during labour and how it progresses
- Breathing techniques and practical positioning strategies
- How an epidural may influence movement and labour
- Recovery after birth and what to expect in the early weeks
The session includes live demonstrations of labour positions, practical tips you can use immediately, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions in an open and supportive environment.
Whether you're expecting your first baby, adding to your family, or supporting someone through pregnancy, you'll leave with useful knowledge and greater confidence about preparing for birth and recovery.
Your ticket includes
