Spend an Hour in the Fantasy Couture Boudoir and discover 1 of a kind handmade garments , hats , headpieces and accesories. Whether you are a lover of unique fantasy fashion , a craftsman , corsetmaker , seamstress or photographer looking for inspiration this is an experience like no other.
Hidden below the Prangsta workshop is a huge collection of costumes, hats, masks, props and strange little treasures: thousands of pieces collected, made, repaired and reinvented over many years - now all available to be viewed by the public.
Unlike a museum or a polished studio experience this is a chance to come into a real working creative space, see the props, accesories and garments in different stages of creation and closely examine things inside and out. Wheher its seing looks being styled, closely examining the embroidery, stitching, vintage fabrics , rich velvet and luxurious silk or admiring the incredible level of detail and consideration and craft put into each piece - this is a dream come true for fashion students and enthusiasts.
For the hour, you can explore the collection at your own pace, try on as many hats, masks and props as you like and generally give yourself permission to play. There’ll be a curated playlist on while you wander around and discover things.
It’s really about reconnecting with that slightly forgotten feeling of being a child and putting something ridiculous on just because you can - meanwhile making incredible memories and learning bout the craft . You’ll also get to see the reality of a small, independent creative business : the workshop, the unfinished things, the piles of materials and garments being prepped for shipping and generally the work that goes into keeping these pieces alive. Prangsta is home to artists, textile makers, wigmakers and prop designers who make and maintain everything here, rather than churning out mass-produced costumes.
There are thousands of pieces to discover, and no two visits will necessarily feel the same.
