About this Event
Pathside gorse cutting at Kincorth Hill LNR
Join the Countryside Ranger Service and volunteers from SEPA for a joint conservation event at Kincorth Local Nature Reserve. This important habitat is home to a diverse array of wildlife and your help is needed to ensure that the reserve remains accessible for the general public.
Our activities will focus on:
- Gorse Removal: using saws and loppers, we will cut back invasive gorse, which is enroaching upon the path and making access difficult for site users.
- Clearing vegetation from the edges of the pond to ensure pond plants aren't shaded out.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about what it takes to be a ranger, meet like-minded people, and make a tangible impact on your local greenspace.
