Powered by Salem: SAFE's 25th Anniversary
Join us in person to celebrate 25 amazing years of Salem Alliance for the Environment! This milestone event, Powered by Salem, is all about celebrating the last year, unveiling the revised Mission Statement, and fundraising to sustain for the next 25 years.
In 2026 SAFE has collaborated on high urban heat and climate leadership in the Point Neighborhood, installed air quality monitors, explored coastal resilience and relocation, put on events around climate injustice and displacement, continued to push for a just energy transition at the port, shared popular education on community owned energy, and advocated to protect Mass Save.

About Us
SAFE started as an all-volunteer group and has since become a resourced organization. SAFE convenes community conversations, builds coalitions, and backs resident leadership with organizing capacity. We integrate Spanish language access across our work, and strive for language justice.
