About this Event
Join Kat in the classroom to learn how to make tender, rich pound cakes in a variety of flavors.
In this hands-on class, you'll:
- make pound cakes from scratch (lemon, vanilla, and almond)
- learn how to adjust flavorings to create an endless variety of pound cake options
- make simple, elegant toppings & glazes
- learn lots of baking tips you can apply to other recipes
- explore how the ingredients work
- enjoy baking alongside fellow students
- feel set up for success by friendly, knowledgeable instructors
- leave with a trio of pound cake flavors
NOTE: each individual will make an entire recipe from scratch of a single flavor, and table groups will share their finished pound cakes so that everyone can take home 3 mini-loaves (1 of each flavor).
Format: Hands-on (each participant is actively engaged in the recipe for duration of class). More info about class formats HERE.

ABOUT HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES at the HOMEMADE KITCHEN
Hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun. Class sizes are small, so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Some classes involve "group work" with other students, but you complete most of the activites yourself... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!
One more note... baking classes at Homemade are about helping you feel more at home in the kitchen. We want you to build your confidence and creativity, NOT worry about being "perfect", so relax, ask questions, and have fun!
