About this Event
Join us for an informative and supportive session designed for Parent Carers of children and young people with additional needs being delivered by SENDIASS
Choosing the right Post-16 pathway for your young person can feel overwhelming. This informative session is designed to help parent carers understand the options available and navigate the decision-making process with confidence.
During the session, we'll explore:
- The range of Post-16 opportunities available in Gloucestershire
- What to consider when choosing the right setting for your young person
- When to start exploring options and planning ahead
- How to recognise whether a placement is a good fit
- The Post-16 application process
- What happens if your young person has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan
- What your options are if you disagree with the named placement
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during a dedicated Q&A session at the end.
Whether you're just starting to think about Post-16 options or preparing to make important decisions, this session will provide practical information, guidance, and support.
