Portsmouth NEET Partnership Welcome Morning
Join us for a morning of learning, networking and collaboration at Portsmouth City Council's Careers & Employability Hub.
This event is designed to introduce local partners to the Careers & Employability Hub, the services we provide, and the wide range of support available for young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET.
Attendees will gain an insight into Portsmouth's approach to NEET prevention and re-engagement, hear about current programmes and opportunities available across the city, and learn how organisations can work together to improve outcomes for young people.
The morning will include:
- An overview of Portsmouth's NEET Prevention and Re-engagement Strategy
- Current local NEET data and emerging trends
- Information about the statutory careers and progression offer
- An introduction to the RONI and NEET Prevention Programme
- Learn about the tailored support available and understand barriers young people face.
- A tour of the Careers & Employability Hub
- An opportunity to meet Careers & Progression Advisers, Job Coaches, DWP colleagues and the Data Team
- Networking with local organisations, programme providers and partners
- Discussions about referral pathways, partnership working and future opportunities
As a local organisation already supporting young people, we would like to bring together organisations from across the area that work with young people to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge and build new connections. This event is an opportunity to better understand the local support landscape, explore collaborative approaches, and identify how we can work together to help more young people progress into education, training and employment.
