À propos de cet événement

Cet atelier POP-UP vous permettra de fabriquer un Kiridashi ou couteau tout usage japonais et un petit étui de cuir.

La durée du cours est de six (6) heures mais prévoir une heure additionnelle, juste au cas.

Éléments théoriques :

• Présentation des étapes de fabrication

Éléments pratiques :

• Expliqué la méthode ‘stock removal’
• Choisir un patron et le dessiner sur l’acier
• Découpe de l’acier au grider
• Préparé le profil de la lame
• Faire la décoration et trou s’il y a lieux (choix personnelle)
• Faire la tremp à l'huile et le recuisage du kiridashi
• Fabriqué un petit étui pour protéger la lame (et son usagé)
• Aiguisage de base et finition

Après la formation, le participant sera habilité à :

• Cette formation permet aux membres de LESPACEMAKER de fabriquer un Kiridashi

• Tout le matériel est fourni pour la formation à l’exception de la tenue vestimentaire.

This POP-UP workshop will teach you how to make a Kiridashi, or Japanese utility knife, and a small leather sheath.

The course lasts six (6) hours, but please allow for an extra hour, just in case.

Theory:

• Presentation of the manufacturing steps.
• Practical elements:
• Explanation of the stock removal method.
• Choosing a pattern and drawing it on the steel
• Cutting the steel with a grinder
• Preparing the blade profile
• Decorating and drilling holes if desired (personal choice)
• Oil quenching and annealing the kiridashi
• Making a small sheath to protect the blade (and its user)
• Performed basic sharpening and finishing
