On Saturday, November 21st, Poets & Pours returns to Calabash for an intimate evening of powerful spoken word, provocative storytelling, spirited pours, and conversations that might just get a little uncomfortable... in the best way.
We're exploring the things we did, the things we almost did, the lines we crossed, the ones we held, and the truths we're willing to take a little heat for.
Because sometimes the most powerful move isn't giving in to the moment. It's deciding what you're going to do before the moment ever arrives.
THIS MONTH'S FEATURED POUR
November brings something entirely unique to the glass.
APHRO Palm Spirit, brought to the U.S. by Mansa Spirits, is the first premium West African palm spirit crafted in Ghana from naturally fermented palm sap. It is triple-distilled and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
We're bringing Aphro Palm Spirit into the mix as our featured pour for an evening where the poetry isn't the only thing bringing the heat. Come ready to sip, listen, connect, and discover something new.
THE AFTERWORD
Each month, guests will be invited l to respond to a prompt inspired by the evening's theme. Selected responses may become part of an original piece performed at the next Poets & Pours, allowing one night to leave its mark on the next.
