About this Event

Poetry, Film, Art, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and treats.

Rosehall Press is proud to present the official launch of "The Days of Plenty," the vital new book of poetry and photography from Ryan O'Neil, author of the acclaimed "Ritual and Ruin" (2020).

"The Days of Plenty" is an intimate diary, chronicling the artist's courageous and inspiring journey as he begins the pursuit of his creative dreams.

Join us to celebrate this powerful theme, connect with the creative community, and share in the "plenty" of the occasion.

This is not just a book launch; it's an immersive, all-day experience in a beautiful gallery setting.

The Experience (12 PM - 8 PM)

This is an all-day event. The gallery will be open from 12 PM for you to explore the art, meet the author, and socialize. The live, formal programming will begin at 5 PM.

All Day (12 PM - 8 PM):

  • Immerse Yourself: Explore the stunning and evocative photography from the book, exhibited throughout the Amazing Moss Park Gallery.
  • Meet the Author: Ryan O'Neil will be present all day to connect with guests and sign copies of "The Days of Plenty." Books will be available for purchase.
  • Community & Conversation: Mingle with fellow art and literature lovers while enjoying complimentary Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and desserts.

The Main Show (5 PM - 7 PM):

Gather for an inspirational two-hour showcase of live performance, film, and poetry, featuring:

  • Captivating readings from "The Days of Plenty" by author Ryan O'Neil.
  • Special guest performances by acclaimed artists Aleshia Linton and Andy Lee.
  • Exclusive Film Screening: See the inspiration in action as we screen "Masquerade is Rebellion," the powerful self-produced short film and accompanying media piece tied directly into the book's narrative and artwork.

This event is a must for lovers of poetry, fine art photography, and anyone who has ever dreamed of taking a leap of faith.

Admission: The Gift of Giving

This event is FREE for all to attend.

In the spirit of the book's title, "The Days of Plenty," we ask that you please share your own plenty by bringing a non-perishable food item for a local food bank OR making a donation to the Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fund.
