Beth sy’n digwydd pan mae plant yn dod yn ymchwilwyr yn eu hysgolion eu hunain? Mae’r ddarlith hon yn dilyn taith fferm ysgol gyntaf gogledd Cymru a phrosiect ymchwil cydweithredol, wnaeth osod disgyblion wrth galon y broses gan ddefnyddio dulliau creadigol ac ymchwil a rennir. 

Drwy ddull cyfranogol, daeth plant yn gyd-gynhyrchwyr gan helpu i lunio’r cwestiynau ymchwil. Mae’r ddarlith hon yn archwilio sut mae dysgu’n seiliedig ar fferm wedi dylanwadu ar hyder, lles, presenoldeb a dysgu plant, yn ogystal â chryfhau ymgysylltu gyda theuluoedd a’r gymuned ysgol ehangach. 

Mae hefyd yn dangos gwerth cael plant i fod yn rhan fel cyd-gynhyrchwyr a rhoi llais dilys iddynt mewn ymchwil addysgol. 

Bydd y ddarlith hon yn cael ei thraddodi gan dîm aml-ddisgyblaethol o ymchwilwyr o Brifysgol Wrecsam, gan ddwyn ynghyd arbenigedd mewn addysg a gwyddor anifeiliaid: Lisa Formby, Dr Sue Horder, Dr Karen Rhys-Jones, Monty Kennard, ac Angela Winstanley.  

Bydd y cyflwyniad hefyd yn cynnwys cyfraniadau gan yr ysgol, gan gynnwys athrawon dosbarth a phlant y mae eu lleisiau’n ganolog i’r ymchwil. 

What happens when children become researchers in their own school? This lecture follows the journey of North Wales' first farm school and a collaborative research project, which placed pupils at the heart of the process using creative methods and shared enquiry. 

Through a participatory approach, children became co-researchers and helped shape the research questions. The lecture explores how farm-based learning has influenced children's confidence, wellbeing, attendance, and learning, as well as strengthening engagement with families and the wider school community. 

It also demonstrates the value of involving children as co-researchers and giving them an authentic voice in educational research. 

The lecture will be delivered by a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Wrexham University, bringing together expertise in education and animal sciences. 

The presentation will also feature contributions from the school, including class teachers and children, whose voices are central to the research.
