Welcome to my "PLAYGROUND": a space meant for curiosity, experimentation , and getting out of our comfort zones!
Tiff will be showcasing their intuitive, sculptural process as they create and hand-style a haircut on a live model. Attendees will be able to get up close, record, and ask any questions while they work.
ABOUT TIFF:
Tiff McColl is a haircutter and educator based in Oakland, CA, widely sought after for creating expressive, "alternative" shapes best worn in their natural texture.
Fortunate enough to have been mentored by some of the top artists in the niche community of straight razor specialists , they received their foundational education in intuitive straight razor cutting as Jayne Matthews' apprentice at Edo Salon in San Francisco.
From the beginning, Tiff's determination to push their creative boundaries helped them quickly develop a strong personal style in their work.
Through a unique, intuitive process and hyperfocus to detail, Tiff's work bears and unmistakable quality that sets it apart as uniquely my own. Because of this, they have been able to call in a dream clientele who keeps them inspired after almost a decade behind the chair.
Beyond showing you a few new straight razor techniques, Tiff seeks to empower you with realistic tips to to help you find your artistic voice and develop your signature style behind the chair!
