About this Event

Welcome to Play to Heal!

This is not about acting “good.”It’s about expressing honestly, feeling lighter, and reconnecting with yourself and others.

What you’ll get from this workshop

  • Emotional & stress release (without over-talking)
  • More confidence in self-expression
  • Communication + reflection tools you can use in real life
  • Self-acceptance and self-love practices (in a grounded way)
  • A fresh perspective on your situation (work, relationships, identity)
  • Fun, community, and a stronger sense of connection

About the facilitator (Sami Mitwasi)

Sami is an artist, facilitator, space-holder, and drama trainer with over 20 years of experience in drama and theatre. His work centers on creating workshops that invite healing, expression, and real human connection.
Through drama-therapy-inspired practices, movement, and reflective communication, Sami supports people in reconnecting with themselves — feeling seen, held, and empowered.

What we’ll do (3-part journey)

1) Body Expression

We start with the body, because the body holds what the mind doesn’t say.

  • Gentle movement + warm-up
  • Ice-breakers
  • Body-based expression to feel safer and more present

2) Thoughts & Mind

A guided space for reflection and shared understanding.

  • Light discussion (no pressure to overshare)
  • Answering simple questions that unlock clarity
  • Exploring ideas, concerns, passions, and “what’s been on your mind”

3) Emotions (Drama Tools & Theatre Games)

Here we use games and drama tools for emotional expression and insight.Inspired by drama therapy + psychodrama-based exercises (adapted safely for a workshop setting).

  • Theatre games
  • Role-play for reflection (optional + guided)
  • Creative expression to release, reframe, and reconnect

You don’t need experience.Just come as you are.

What is the goal:

To use drama therapy-inspired tools to support:

  • Self-confidence & self-expression
  • Communication and reflection skills
  • Emotional release & stress relief
  • Healthy thinking + new perspective
  • Inner child energy: play, freedom, fun
  • Community and teamwork understanding

Who is this workshop for? This workshop is for you if you:

  • Feel stressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally “stuck”
  • Want deeper connection with people (and the ability to give/receive love)
  • Feel confused about work, purpose, or direction
  • Want healthier thinking patterns and emotional regulation tools
  • Want to feel more confident expressing yourself
  • Want a space that feels human, warm, and real

You don’t need experience.Just come as you are.
