What if you got to live it all again? Same room, same love, samemistakes... and had to decide what you'd do differently?
This month, we're reading "Make It Count", a new play by James Sweeney, who joins us in person as co-host for the evening, flying in specially to read with us. It's a story that folds back on itself: one marriage, revisited from both ends of the same years, tender and funny and quietly devastating by turns.
Expect real warmth alongside real loss — themes of mortality and grief run through the evening, though humour is never far behind. A rare chance to sit with a script this close to its source, and to ask the writer afterwards what he'd have changed.
🎭 How it works
Play readings are informal gatherings where we read a script aloud, just for fun.
No stage, no rehearsals, no pressure — just good company and great writing.
We’ll assign parts on the night, and you can read a role (or two!) or simply listen and enjoy.
The script will be shared via QR code and short link at the event — so bring a phone or tablet to follow along. No preparation needed.
✅ How to join
The event is free and open to everyone aged 16+.
