About this Event
Plastic Fantastic: Recycled Jewellery Workshop
Date: Saturday 7 November
Location: Ngutungka Henley
Suitable for: Adults
Turn plastic waste into something fantastic!
Get creative and discover how discarded plastics and recycled materials can be transformed into colourful, wearable creations.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design and make your own unique pieces of jewellery or colourful keychains using collected and repurposed plastics and other recycled materials.
Experiment with colour, texture and shape, mix and match materials, and create something completely your own – while giving materials that might otherwise go to waste a whole new life.
This workshop is part of Reimagined: From Waste to Wonder, our November exhibition exploring creativity, recycling, reuse and the possibilities of turning everyday waste into something new.
No previous jewellery-making experience is needed - just bring your creativity!
What you'll make
- Create up to two pieces of jewellery or keychains
- Using recycled and repurposed plastics and materials
- A unique creation to take home
Come along, get creative and turn a little bit of waste into something wonderful!
Please note:
- Stay at home if you are unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath.
- Maintaining social distancing is the responsibility of the individual.
The City of Charles Sturt would like to acknowledge the land we occupy today is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the greater Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
