Plants Can Dance returns to our home at Hideout, Number 90, Hackney Wick for a Sunday afternoon of plant inspired, bio-phillic music.
Following the launch of the Plants Can Dance compilation album at our last event, we've had a busy summer on tour across the UK and Europe, with Plants Can Dance featuring at festivals such as We Out Here, Wildwood, Fringe By The Sea, Love Trails, Sonica, Caught By The River and more
Expect a deep dive into plant biosonification, starting with a workshop where you can learn about and test various technologies that make this music possible. The event will feature the Living Ecosystem terrariums built by Lamine at the Repot plant shop, and musical performances by residents Lamine, Brian d'Souza aka Auntie Flo and Pierre Paslier.
We'll be joined for the premiere of 'Nature's Orchestra' a collaborative piece featuring field recordings from Martyn Stewart OBE of The Listening Planet with contributions from Cosmo Sheldrake, Jack Penate, Leo Abrahams and more, and we'll also be road testing the new Soniferous plantery listening app.
If you are interested in ambient music, modular synthesis, plants, fungi and the wonderful intersection of science, technology and the arts - please join us!
