About this Event
Can you barely contain your excitement when it comes to growing food in small spaces? Then we have the workshop for you! Join the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Food Well Alliance for a workshop on Container Gardening for Edible Plants! From annual vegetables to fruit trees and herbs, we'll dig into tips and tricks for thriving container gardens!
We'll cover:
- Choosing the right containers
- Selecting a soil mix
- Spacing and planting
- Feeding and fertilizing
- Long-term maintenance for perennial plants
Plant. Eat. Repeat. workshops are always free and open to all experience levels! They're also an opportunity to check out an awesome community garden and see what's growing there!
Getting to the Garden:
The entrance to the Astro-Fain Community Garden is located at the corner of Hemphill School Road and Delmar Lane. You'll enter through the gate and parking is available in the grassy area between the entrance and the garden. The garden is visible from the parking area.
Restrooms are available a .2 mile walk/drive away at the Adamsville-Collier Heights Library.
