Join New York Times bestselling author Pip Williams as she introduces audiences to her breathtaking new novel, The German Ward, in a warm and thoughtful conversation with Debra Adelaide.Author of The Dictionary of Lost Words and The Bookbinder of Jericho, both recognised in ABC Radio National's Top 100 Books of the 21st Century, Pip’s latest novel takes us to France in 1915, where an English nurse falls for a German doctor held as a prisoner of war. Their relationship might have been lost from history entirely, if not for a set of drawings rediscovered generations later. Elegant and atmospheric, The German Ward is historical fiction at its best, from one of Australia's most accomplished storytellers.
