Under his alias Pietro Gentile (referring to his Milano years), he will heat up the venue with his wonderfully deep, warm, dubby, tweaky – and constantly GROOVY – dub n’ deephouse-via-minimal-to-nuAcid sounds !!
If you remember his last Saturday visits the 11th of April (amongst several other similar events) you also know what to expect in terms of additional ”Augmented Reality-technology” to enhance the visitors’ experience – and for those of you who do not have a clue, we give you a hint; dance floor boundaries erased! Virtually extending the small bar venue’s main scene.. Out in the streets, if spring-weather allows!
========== background =============
Peter Mellander has (at least..) two different alias; “Pietro Gentile” when serving the dubby tweaky dubhouse/minimal/AcidHouse/nuAcid as at Bivac and, “peter m.lander” when delivering his dark suggestive psychotic techno at underground clubs/raves.
His first DJ-gig was in 1991(!) but his main contribution to the early evolution of Göteborg’s (and Sweden’s) club-/underground scene was via radio! Together with the originator (and legendary ambient/electronica-dj) Henrik Strömberg, Peter led the underground dance music radio show ”hq” [eit∫ kju:] (on K103) during the ninetees! A legacy that many of today's older djs still refer to and recognize as inspiration to their career.
In recent years Peter has organized several groovy bar- and terrace sessions and not the least, helped us prolonging the weekends during the summer of 2024 with is lovely SUNDANCE Club.
Peter’s strength lies in; always staying within the framework of his suggestive, monotonous, mystical, tweaky somewhat nearby ”psychotic” underground-born sound picture - while delicately adapting the tone and intensity to the specific context (such as for and at Bivac bar).
