Jesus of Nazareth claimed to both love the world and to be in conflict with it. It isn’t surprising then that Christian teaching and practices resonate with and yet repel so many. Just how does Christianity square with culture? What is the message the world promotes about money, work, our bodies, the political scene, and race, and what light does the ancient teaching of the Bible shed on these issues of consequence? Join us as Caleb Churchill from Brooklyn, NY leads us in a discussion of the Bible’s message on “Christians & Culture.”Each autumn Philly Bible Study hosts the Philly Bible Expo, a series of free, public lectures and discussions, aimed at encouraging conversations about the Bible that are engaging for unbelievers and enriching for believers. Our hope is that the God of the Bible will be made known and that our lives and the lives of our neighbors—here in Philadelphia and the world over—would be made better for it.
