About this Event
The Impact of Being Human
Peter Thain shares his personal experience of higher education as a student and member of staff across 4 institutions, alongside his work within elite international sport. Peter will explore a people-centred, systems-focused philosophy of leadership. Challenging established thinking, he examines how the decisions we make, the systems we create and the way we work with people shape individual experiences, team performance and organisational outcomes.
Professor Peter Thain is the UK's first sports therapy graduate to be awarded the title of Professor of Sports Therapy. He leads the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy course at Birmingham City University, serves as a Lead Assessor for the Office for Students, and is Head of Sports Science and Medicine for the Great Britain Senior Women's Basketball Team.
