About this Event
Would you know what to do if your pet was injured or became suddenly unwell?
Join us for a practical and informative 2-hour Pet First Aid session designed specifically for pet owners. Led by our referrals nursing manager, this session will give you the knowledge and confidence to respond calmly and appropriately in an emergency while arranging veterinary care.
We’ll cover some of the most common emergencies and first aid situations that pet owners may encounter, including wounds and bleeding, choking, toxins, seizures, heat-related emergencies and CPR.
You’ll learn how to recognise the signs of an emergency, what you can safely do at home, what you should never do, and when your pet needs urgent veterinary attention.
The session will be practical, interactive and easy to understand, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss real-life scenarios.
This session is suitable for all pet owners, whether you are a new pet parent or have cared for animals for many years. No prior first aid knowledge is required.
Please note that first aid is not a replacement for veterinary treatment. The aim of the session is to help you provide appropriate initial care and make informed decisions while seeking professional veterinary advice.
Light refreshments will be available during the session.
