About this Event
Celebrate International Mental Health Day with us here at the Socia Hermit, where perfectionism is ruled out, your inner critic is not welcome, and everyone loves connection.
Join Beth Good who is a disability advocate and creative mastermind behind @perthsworstpoet for a few hours of creative fun and engagement.
Topics to choose from are;
- Narrating what nature knows
- Rhythm, rhyme and feeling fine,
- Expressing emotions
- Visual poetry collage
Try your hand (without your phone) at cutting and pasting some words on a page. They might make sense; they might not- who cares! It's better than scrolling away in isolation!
Create a poem with intention or see what pops out of the page for you in this interesting and unique but fun creative challenge. Using mostly materials rescued from waste we love to reuse and recycle at The Social Hermit.
Ages 16+, Chronic Illness / invisible disabilities welcome.
The Social Hermit is a BIPOC friendly, gender-affirming and neurodivergent space, please enter with an open mind; discriminatory language will not be tolerated.
These sessions are held on Boorloo Wadjuk Ngoongar Boodja; sovereignty has never been ceded.
