In Rachel Monosovs Performance übernehmen Rachell Bo Clark, Cami Brogaard und Victor Dumont—ausgehend von skulpturalen Arbeiten nach Gemälden von Edgar Ende—die Rolle von Fahnenträger*innen und setzen choreografische Abläufe zwischen Bewegung, Wiederholung und räumlicher Aushandlung in Gang. Die Fahne erscheint als Symbol kollektiver Ideale, körperliche Last und umkämpftes Territorium. Die Performance verbindet surrealistische Bildwelten mit Fragen von Konflikt, Zugehörigkeit und Verletzlichkeit.
The Flag Bearers, kuratiert von Jorgina Stamogianni, ist das siebte Kapitel der Ausstellungsreihe Becoming B. In der Ausstellung, die noch bis zum 15.11. im Künstlerhaus Bethanien zu sehen ist, setzt Rachel Monosov ihre langjährige Auseinandersetzung mit Nationalismus, sozialen Konstrukten, kollektiver Identität und dem Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Körpern und Ideologie fort.

In Rachel Monosov's performance, Rachell Bo Clark, Cami Brogaard, and Victor Dumont—drawing on sculptural works inspired by Edgar Ende paintings—take on the role of flag bearers, setting choreographic sequences of movement, repetition, and spatial negotiation in motion. The flag emerges as a symbol of collective ideals, physical burden, and contested territory. The performance brings together surrealist imagery with questions of conflict, belonging, and vulnerability.
The Flag Bearers, curated by Jorgina Stamogianni, is the seventh chapter of the exhibition series Becoming B. The exhibition is on view until November 15th and is a continuation of Rachel Monosov's long engagement with the topics of nationalism, social constructs, collective identity and the tension between bodies and ideology.
