MINALS Workshop at Berlin Tea Festival

Rooted in MINALS’ 870-year Chinese aromatic heritage, this workshop is an experiential journey through the traditions of Chinese incense and aromatic tea.
The incense journey begins with Chinese incense culture from the Han Dynasty, followed by MINALS’ inherited approach to harmonized blending. Through guided incense appreciation, participants will slow down, smell, observe, and experience how different aromas affect their sense of relaxation, awareness, and inner state.
The aromatic tea journey traces its roots from the Tang Dynasty. Through both taste and smell, participants will experience MINALS’ blended aromatic teas and explore, from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, how aromatic ingredients were traditionally understood to influence the body and mind.
Together, incense and tea create a sensory journey of scent, taste, body awareness, and inner balance.
Each participant will receive a goodie bag with three MINALS aromatic tea bags of their choice to take home.
Lineage Introduction:
MINALS, a Chinese incense lineage whose history traces back to the Southern Song Dynasty, around 870 years ago. Today, the lineage is carried on by its 27th generation.
MINALS carries a distinctive framework and blending philosophy for harmonizing natural aromatics, developed through generations of practice. Its blending logic is highly intricate, precise, and extensive, focusing on how different aromatic materials interact, balance, and support one another to form a complete and harmonious composition.
