Let’s talk pelvic floor health: leaking, urgency, painful sex, constipation, and how strength training can help.About this Event
Do you always need to know where the nearest bathroom is? Avoid jumping because you might leak? Experience pain during sex but feel uncomfortable bringing it up?
A lot of people live with these things for years, assuming they have a “small bladder,” that it’s just part of getting older, or that nothing can be done. And when no one talks about it, it’s easy to think you’re the only one.
Join Kelsey Karnes, pelvic floor physical therapist with MOVE SMART, for an open conversation about pelvic floor health and the symptoms we often accept, work around, or never think to ask about.
We’ll talk about leaking when you sneeze or exercise, feeling like you constantly need to pee, pain during sex, and constipation, including how your pelvic floor may contribute and when to seek help.
We’ll also explore how a thoughtful approach to strength training can support pelvic floor health, and why paying attention to breathing, pressure, and your individual symptoms matters.
Whether these issues affect your workouts, intimacy, or ability to travel without planning every stop around a bathroom, this workshop will help you understand what’s worth bringing up and what support may be available.
You don’t have to wait until something feels “bad enough” to ask about it.
