About this Event
Five years. Five cohorts. Hundreds of conversations, relationships, and community connections.
Join us as we gather the Neighborhood Healers Project (NHP) community to honor the work that has shaped this five-year journey and explore how its lessons can continue to influence community-centered mental health efforts in Lexington.
What you can expect:
💡Community Conversations:
Breakout sessions will invite attendees to consider how the knowledge, relationships, and resources developed through NHP can inform future approaches to addressing the mental health needs of the Lexington community. Attendees will also have opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and take away practical strategies they can use in their own lives and communities.
🎙️ Featured Speakers
We are honored to welcome Danielle Sanders, a former NHP fellow, as our keynote speaker. The summit will also feature a panel discussion with former NHP fellows: Matthew Williams, Therese Diallis, William “Ace” Jackson, TaShaundra Poullard, Vera Mabson
🎬 NHP Documentary Debut
We are excited to debut our NHP documentary, which captures the voices, experiences, and stories that have defined the project across all five cohorts. Through the perspectives of fellows and community members, the film offers a glimpse into the relationships, growth, and impact that have emerged throughout the project.
🎓 Graduation
The day will conclude with the graduation of our fifth and final NHP cohort, followed by a reception honoring the graduates and everyone who has contributed to the project along the way.
Come experience the stories, people, and ideas that have made NHP what it is; and be part of the conversation about where community-centered mental health work goes from here.
