Turn up the volume on creativity at February’s PECO Free First Sunday Family Day 🎤📚On Sunday, February 1, admission to the Barnes is FREE for a full day of art, music, stories, and hands-on fun. This month’s program, Rap It Up, celebrates poetry, rhythm, and self-expression in collaboration with the The African American Children's Book Project.
Join award-winning authors Carole Boston Weatherford and Jeffery Weatherford for an interactive reading, performance, and workshop inspired by their newest book, “Rap It Up!”—a joyful exploration of poetry, rap, and creative voice for all ages.
Plus, enjoy art activities led by Fleisher Art Memorial’s ColorWheels teaching artists, storytime for little listeners, and free access to the Barnes collection and “Henri Rousseau: A Painter’s Secrets.”
