This year, weâre honored to be hosted by our community partners Lighthouse (đ 101 E. Erie Ave). Their missionâto support families and strengthen quality of life through educational, cultural, and social programsâmakes their beautiful space the perfect home for La Tamalada. Parking is available for $10. đ
âď¸ Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase, with Cantina la Martina serving atole, champurrado, tepache, and cafĂŠ de olla.
đ´ Tamales are $6 each. Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go; some vendors are cash only, so please come prepared.
đ At 2pm, vendors will face off in a friendly tamale competition, with awards for the top spots. Judges will be announced soon!

Why we celebrate:
La Tamalada honors La Candelaria, a Mexican tradition marking the close of the holiday season. Itâs also tied to Rosca de Reyesâwhere finding the figurine means hosting tamales and atole for loved ones. What starts as a family gathering has grown into a community-wide celebration⌠and yes, there will be atoles!
With a larger space this year, weâre excited to make La Tamalada bigger than ever. We canât wait to celebrate with you! đŤâ¨
Please note this is an outdoor event. Dress accordingly.
