Ensuring that church remains a safe environment for everyone.
Important Booking Information
- Booking is essential
- Each attendee must obtain their own ticket - group bookings are not permitted
The following should attend this training:
- · Designated Liaison Persons & Deputy Designated Liaison Persons
- · Small Safeguarding teams e.g. safeguarding elders, DPs & ministers
Roadshows delivered in January and February 2026, were information sessions, and do not count as designated person training. As a result, there is an expectation that all current Designated Persons and Deputy Designated Persons attend this training.
We appreciate that this may mean travel, please book whichever available training date and location is most suitable for you, rather than waiting for a session to be held within your own Presbytery. If you are unable to attend one of the current sessions, further DP training will be available in 2027.
This training is essential even if you already hold professional safeguarding qualifications, for example as a teacher, nurse, police officer or social worker. PCI operates under its own safeguarding policies, procedures and reporting processes, making PCI specific safeguarding training an essential requirement for those undertaking designated safeguarding responsibilities.
This training is required every 3 years.
