ON THIS EPISODE: we present to you DENIM BUT MAKE IT PERSONAL 👖 Led by masters student @r.clegghughes who has developed a unique contemporary style of embroidery and will be walking us through her practice. As well as sounds by @_ebmo_
“Rhyanne is a Textile artists specialising in embroidery. She explores the concept of time, thorough repetition and the depiction of labour. Studying for her Craft MA at Manchester Metropolitan University, Rhyanne has began to explore her practice further into the parallels of embrodiery and the metaphysical.”
As usual there will be a THEMED photobooth and this month’s (obvious) dress code is Denim as we prepare for the colder months but keep our expression. The set up will feature work from the designer @medrana__ whose practice currently explores patterns made with denim.
The evening will be separated into a class and then execution where you will be guided to explore embroidery and then move around tables where you can further customise your clothes with studs, fabric textures and fabric paints.
All materials will be provided and the session will be suitable for all skill levels with no experience needed.
Being a friend or come solo, meet people and enjoy an evening centred around culture, connection and creativity.
